Hello World,
Hello Reader. Yes well that's very kind of my webmaster to promise serious journalisn from the US. Ahhheeemm. It seems this is a very nice country, if a little confused.
Anyway it's been a good trip so far and beloved's house now belongs to someone else....which is good.
This means that some worldly goods are in cardboard boxes sailing accross the Atlantic Ocean as we speak. Tooot Tooot.
The rest of the worldy goods are aboard beloved's trusty Jeep, and let me say now that it is a good job they are in a jeep for we have been up hill and down dale. No that's wrong. We have been up seriously steep mountain and down buttock clenching ravine with all the worldy goods creaking and groaning in the back. You can see from the piccies that we didn't take the easy route!
Anyway. Now we are in Telluride which is just stunning. http://www.telluride.com/ where we shall be relaxing for a week, playing Frisby Golf, romping up more mountains and down more ravines I shouldn't wonder.
Although this morning we tried crossing a real golf course and there were more warning notices about not walking there and the veiled threat of more artillery. We went another way and found a lovely trail. (Path)
Colorado is a truly amazing place. Its very BIG and quite red.
Oh. And I borrowed a Cirrus SR 22 and popped into Leadville airport which is, at 9927feet is the highest airport in the US. The approach is at 12500 feet down a valley so buttocks clenched again!
