This Sceptred Blighty

Dear Reader,

It is now almost a week since I returned. First off the promised knees uppery. Eminently well sorted by Big fellow and the delightful UBeccistan. On the way out we popped into Heathcotes and eating very nicely it is. A timely reminder of British food at it's best. Next up were some very happening bars....a select few with my first taste of a non-smoking Blighty. Methinks the populace were unprepared for the warmth...and must re-think their options on the smelly stuff. Well there's many an ad for Lynx et al ...so that's money down the drain then.

Also, happy to note that Little Fellow was reading most interestedly and is more given to chatting than growling these days...or perhaps he had already growled on arrival? Dearest Molonium was kind enough to be pressed into running one's new empire too.

Next up a trip to the mountainous land of Mu Mu, where the justified one's seemed happy, the garden was flowery and the dinner was excellent as usual.

Wednesday was supper with the world wandering Pinga at the ever reliable Etna. Eating well and happy to report that Dominic is grumbling about pretty much everything so life in Lancaster all normal. Pinga may join one in 59 North which will be ever so pleasant.

Now. Today was quite a busy one in The City. I met with my new client where we discussed options for OAMS Ltd. A bit of gentle negotiation resulted in a satisfactory deal. Armed with this I popped along to the concrete lego building and was quickly relieved of my services. Actually it was almost abruptly quick...but anyway, like deep root canal work...things like that are best done swiftly. Nearly took me phone off me as well...it was like two kids fighting over a chocolate bar. Dear me.

So a busy old day then. Must be time for more Opry!

Bye for now,

Mark Edsforth, Chief General Manager, OAMS Ltd.

One more day to go...

Yes, it's true dear reader. For tomorrow I shall pack up my belongings in a little knotted hankie and set forth for Blighty. I did what I said I would in spite of all the loose cannons, noise and great depths of doodar.

One more photo to sum up the last ten weeks....thanks to Sheldon for the photo.
The fat lady has gargled up, warbled mightily and done her bit. The curtain closes for the moment. For now dear reader I bid you goodnight.

It's been...good

Dear reader,

I hesitate to say this ...but so far we've very nearlydone what we said we would do. And....dear reader...that is what I am about.

On the way..

  • I met some people and put the Nylon Diode into circulation
  • I nearly understood the dynamics of different cultures

When not reviewing restuarants, propounding rocket science, or generally sharing opinions on how exactly life should be lined up, I mostly bring new software packages into organisations who don't know them. Good result then.

I also visited the bakery at the end of the universe once again, and eating elysian it was.
