blog review!

As I sit and read my blog I realise that much has happened and changed in the 3 years it has been in place, and I have a question:

Do other bloggers find that their blogs put time and events in context..... so that they see their current life in context too and find explanations for current circumstance was being mapped out all along?

Fascinating insight sometimes.....the diary!

Meanwhile Mu-Mu land cosy and Nick's Kitchen http://www.nickskitchen.co.uk/ is eating nicely.

and into 2010

Hello Dear Readers,

I see I should spellcheck before I post!!

Meanwhile...Christmas day was heartliy celebrated at a little known venue up in the hills from here. Said place has just undergone kitchen refit but happy to report that it still maintains it's traditional charm and excellent cuisine.

Eating nicely and with log fires too

Boxing Day at another nearby little known venue. This one is "Under the hil" rather than up it! No refit here but the kitchen is incredibly flexible and when the power goes off the drinks just extend.

Eating nicely, with log fires and that frisson of cullinary expectation which only a power cut can deliver.

Closely followed by the trip to moomin-land. Sheep cold, house warm. Sledging and eating hearty fare. Excellent.

All well with Big Fellow and Bigger fellow with more from little fellow these days too.

Next, exams at Shuttleworth with the snow adding an extra dimension: Not only will I pass - but will I get there?

Now, I await the results with -resignation. It's been good to go back to academia but- 14 exams later now ready to get on with it.

Moloneum about to get new role.

Intrepid Pinga in Foreign parts.

Big fellow going where even the mighty Roman Empire failed to tread.

2010. Year of change.

Watch this space....

more school..

Dear Readers,

Groundschool in this case. Chance for me to try and understand the vagaries of aircraft performance, Chicago Convention, and blah blah blah-diddly blah

I stayed here>

Seems to me that many men go down this route of changing career direction at, errm, round about my age. Also seems to me like even fewer few make it, and very few down this route. Most give in and revert., I won't, but I can quite see why they do. "Hold on tight to your dreams" is a tough challenge.

Meanwhile; Big fellow is betrothed and bound for lands where even Julius C. gave in and built a wall. He's crossing the edges of Empires. But not without our blessing.

Looking forward to a peaceful season

G'night

ps Thanks for the invitation, Big Fellow, and as I review the snow conditions, I regret the decline!!

ps

There might be more cultural and cullinary reviews now I can get amongst it again. After all Dera Readers, it wwas quite difficult to maintain the Restaurant critic review section whilst living in Stocky-old-holm, and latterly Goldicote Hall.

"Yet another nice stew this evening Mark" doesnt quite cut Michelin, or Le Roux, down to their roots does it?

Town....and ....Stylistics

Town...you see is not like the city or my city. No Cathedral!

Town is now..home.. and living nicely it is too.

This evening was mostly enjoyed by nipping up the road to the Town Hall to watch the Stylistics. (Nipping being 2 minuts walk)

Dear reader, one has just discovered where the fabulous dance patterns for which I am famous, came from.

I realoise now that the Northern Soul influence on me was latent. But now I see. It was just..there. They were fab and groovy.

On the way home we discovered, by the simple method of looking around, a most excellent bar. Dog in basket. Acres of Malts. Several fine wines to choose from. and atmosphere to make a Witherspoons seem like a visit to the dentist!

I'll be popping back there, but I think Big Fellow might be needed soon to navigate the acres of glowing amber. And anyone else for that matter!

All groovied out now... but Town seems good

Well: The dog ate my blog and I was busy you see...

I write to you, dear readers, from moomin land once again. So much has passed since the errant boiler died and was revived.

Big fellow and I recently put rather a good contract in the bag. Result!

Here at moomin land the clouds are closing in around one but that does lend some majesty to the season of mists and one can imagine the mellow fruitfulness even if you can't quite see it.

Pinga and flying Ant popped in too and very well they both seem. Even though Pinga is largely embarked upon more study and will be Limoge bound shortly.

Little fellow and littler fellow continue to growl, moo, bleat and do so excellently wind-up their associated parents that I assume all right with the world.

Big fellow's do on Sunday. Looking forward.

For more blogging message more...to the usual.

edit to read...what does that mean?? Hmm

Good night world
